Special expertise in particle accelerators, detectors and in particular photo-detectors, medical physics, algorithms, computer technology and the internet.

Examination procedures before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) and the European Patent Office (EPO) in the telecommunications, signal detection, electronics, optics, and medical technology sectors, as well as in other applied physics areas.

Career

Studied Physics at the Universities of Pisa and Padua.

Degree in Physics in a four-year course in 2002 at the University of Pisa; master’s degree in 2003 at the University of Pisa.

Ph.D. in Applied Physics in the field of high-energy physics in 2007 at the University of Siena.

Post-doctoral researcher at Fermilab, Chicago, USA, and CERN, Geneva, Switzerland, until 2012 as a member of the international team set up for the development and operation of the two largest hadron colliders in the world (Tevatron and LHC - Large Hadron Collider). Participated in the discovery of the Higgs boson.

Active as a patent consultant since 2012 with HOFFMANN EITLE.

Italian patent attorney since 2016. European Patent Attorney since 2018.
